Girls highly anticipated album leaked today. According to the press release it isn’t titled “Girls” but actually “Album”. After a string of excellent single releases they finally got around to release this album.

Another new Thom Yorke track has been released. I don’t know if this came from the official Radiohead site or not, what I do know is that it’s out on a bittorrent site and then spread to the glorious Rapidshare (then to Megaupload and Mediafire).
Here’s the lodown:
With Radiohead having recently released new material in the form of both the digitally disseminated ‘These Are My Twisted Words’ and the commemorative orchestral piece ‘Harry Patch’, along comes Thom Yorke in his solo guise with another new track. As with ‘Harry Patch’, this one’s a charity-related tribute, though in this instance the proceeds go to ex-Miracle Legion songwriter Mark Mulcahy (who penned the song covered by Yorke) to help him pursue his music career and support his children following on from the untimely death of his wife Melissa. Yorke’s arrangement of ‘All For The Best’ begins with a skittering electronic pulsation, the like of which was heard sprinkled intermittently across The Eraser. As the song unfolds, layers of chopped up, processed drums jostle and lurch about the place while harmonised vocal loops lend plenty of depth and emotion to the mix – it’s great to hear Yorke performing such an unguarded lyric too; it’s quite a jarring shift away from his more austere and obscure tendencies. On the flip, Mulcahy himself appears, offering the unassuming yet quite magical ‘Ciao My Shining Star’ in a fragile falsetto accompanied by chorused, tingling ’80s indie guitar and ramshackle drums.
